WIA (Workforce Investment Act) Workshop
What is the WIA Workshop? In order to be on the WIA program you must attend a WIA Workshop (which explains the program), and the steps required to be accepted on the Workforce Investment Act Program. You will need an up-to-date resume. You must complete an interest and aptitude assessment at the CAC. You will then need to complete two forms, which are given to you at the Workshop. The assessment and resume can be completed early. We can assist you with creating a resume.

Following the completion of the above online WIA Application, you will be contacted by a WIA representative whot will reserve a spot for you at the next available Workshop.
- Core Services are informational services such as employment availabilityina demand occupational field or are staff assisted services such as job search and job referrals.
- Intensive Services are used for assessment of skills and testing to identify job matches and prior life skill and job skill experiences.
- Training Services are available in areas of both short or long-term training. Training opportunities must be included on the State of Ohio approved vendors' list for the Workforce Investment Act, with training of up to two academic years possible.
